Stanton McComb is President of Medical-Surgical Solutions for McKesson Corporation. As a member of the Executive Operating Team, Stanton is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for McKesson’s comprehensive offering of medical-surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment and laboratory solutions and services to healthcare providers in the U.S.
Stanton joined McKesson in 2002 and has served in a variety of leadership roles at the company. Most recently, he was President of McKesson Automation, a business unit that developed and sold robotics and software solutions to hospitals. Additionally, Stanton was President of McKesson Pharmacy Systems & Automation and Director of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Prior to McKesson, Stanton made and managed venture capital investments in the healthcare sector for Citigroup and acted as the CEO of Medlogic Global, a medical-surgical products company. Earlier in his career, he worked at the Health Care Advisory Board in Washington, D.C. and served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in northwestern Africa.
Stanton currently serves on the corporate boards of McKesson Ventures, McKesson Global Sourcing and is the National Executive Sponsor of McKesson’s Pan-Asian Voices for Excellence (PAVE) Employee Resource Group. He also serves on the board of Economic Advisors to Richmond University’s School of Business.
Stanton holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business from Villanova University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
