Noah Alderson, affectionately known as “Noah the Brave,” has defied every odd against him since before he was even born.
At a routine 20-week anatomy scan, Noah’s parents, Tanasha and David, received devastating news about their son’s heart condition. Doctors informed them that Noah was missing several components of his heart and predicted that he might not survive.
After birth, Noah faced multiple surgeries near his home in Spokane, Wash. Five years later, they learned he could receive a life-saving surgical procedure that would nearly fix his heart, but his family had to travel 3,000 miles to Boston Children’s Hospital. His health conditions prevented him from flying, so the Alderson family embarked on a difficult road trip, requiring 12 tracheostomies to keep Noah alive during the journey.
McKesson Medical-Surgical played a crucial role in providing the necessary medical supplies to support Noah’s cross-country journey, springing into action and showing genuine care for his well-being. Noah is now nine years old, and his story is an inspiration, highlighting the resilience and dedication of both his family and the healthcare professionals who support him.
